Over time, we gained our own clinical experiences on the advantages and disadvantages of individual implant systems. It may be better to say that we learned about our limitations in treating patients who are partially or completely toothless. Our recipe for a successful implantology therapy is proper indication, a minimally invasive and gentle surgical procedure, and precise prosthetic production of the implants. We also emphasize the importance of the patient’s role in the final success of the implantology therapy. Good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups are essential. It has been over 30 years since Prof. Dr. Asen Džolev installed the first implant in private practice. Due to honoring all the principles stated above, as well as the discipline of the patient in question, that implant is still functional today, as well as aesthetically adequate.
Dental implants are a modern solution for all those who lost one or more teeth and wish to regain functionality and good aesthetic looks of their smile. Installing a dental implant means placing a titanium screw that replaces the tooth root, which is then permanently installed into the jawbone. That procedure offers stability and long-term results since the implant integrates with the bone, making it a secure and reliable solution for rebuilding your smile.
The process of getting a dental implant requires several carefully planned steps, each one with the aim of achieving a long-term, stable result. First, the dentist performs a detailed examination and analysis of the condition of your gums and jawbone to determine the best location for the implant. After that, a titanium screw is placed into the jawbone, where it gradually fuses with the bone in a process known as osseointegration. When the implant is fully integrated with the bone, a crown, bridge, or prosthesis is attached, restoring the tooth’s natural appearance and function. Throughout the entire process, our dentists ensure maximum comfort and attention, in order to make each step as painless and efficient as possible.
Getting a dental implant is a completely painless procedure thanks to the use of local anaesthesia, which ensures that the patient does not feel any discomfort during the treatment. Our dentists use modern techniques that guarantee comfort and safety throughout the entire procedure. After the procedure, a slight discomfort may occur, which is easily controlled with adequate therapy. The procedure itself is fast, efficient, and painless, and our team will make sure you feel relaxed and safe.
The placement of dental implants depends on the number of implants being placed and if all the conditions for the procedure have been met. For placement of a single implant, the process takes approximately 30 minutes. Of that time, 15 minutes is for the actual placement, while the rest of the time includes administering local anaesthesia and suturing the wound at the end of the procedure. The total time may be longer if multiple implants are being placed or if there are additional procedures, but each step is carefully planned to ensure the patient is satisfied both in functional and aesthetical terms.

Immediate implant loading (immediately after placement) for totally toothless patients ALL ON 4
ALL ON 4 is a special implantology procedure used to treat patients who are completely or sub totally toothless. That method involves extracting all remaining teeth that cannot be saved (e.g., loose teeth, teeth with deep caries and inflammation), after which the dental implants are placed and a temporary bridge is loaded onto them within 24 hours. Once the minimum period needed for the bone and soft tissues to heal around the implants has passed (3 months), a bridge is then made from functionally more durable and aesthetically more pleasing materials.
ALL ON 4 also includes postoperative care, check-ups, training on how to maintain adequate hygiene, and a special diet regimen.
